According to Boring Langfield & Weld, “A person’s environment consists of the sum total of the stimulation which he receives from his conception until his death.” In the words of Anastasi,” The environment is everything that affects the individual expects his genes”.

Douglas and Holland say, “ the term environment is used to describe in the aggregates all the external forces, influences, and conditions, which affect the life, nature, behavior and the growth, development, and maturity of living organisms.

Hence,  is not limited to what we usually call as geographical; it consists of various types of forces like physical, intellectual, social, moral economic, political, cultural, and emotional forces. If it were to be hostile, development may be arrested. Intellectual comprises of books around the child libraries, laboratories, radio, TV, computer museum, intellectual tastes of parents and their interests recreation rooms, associations workshops, seminars conferences debates symposium.
